A special place

Joey lives in Xinjiang province, and we're in the capital Urumqi. We've learned a lot about this place from our guide. A few interesting facts: (any errors are my own.)

• It's the largest province in China.
• 45% of the people are Muslim and 40% Han Chinese(which Joey is)
• It's the most Northwest province of China, next to Mongolia, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Afghanistan to name a few
• We are near the Tian Shan mountains- have a great view of them from our hotel!

What I love is that despite the fact that our guide is the only other English speaking person we have come across here, every morning at our hotel's breakfast buffet, they have Justin Bieber and Maroon 5 playing- in English. :)
