It's a Rough Life

Life is hard, right?

Especially when you're almost 2.

When you're still insecure that your family isn't going to leave you.

When you're the youngest and competing with your siblings for attention.

Maggie still doesn't have many words and her default mode when she's upset is to cry.

A lot.

Here's what happens when big sister gets a turn in Mommy's lap.


This is her bent in half cry.  This one means business.  
No, I say to the people all around us. She is not hurt. She is having a fit.


This is her I don't want my picture taken face.

And this is the all-to-familiar gesture that she does about 1, 275 times a day.
Pick me up Mommy. NOW!
